IACX Energy Executives and Directors
M. Scott Sears, CEO, Director
Mr. Sears serves as IACX's Chief Executive Officer and is a member of the Board.
He was a founding partner of Inter-American Corporation (“Inter-American”), the entity that incubated the development of IACX’s PSA technology. His expertise is in the area of upstream exploration and production. Mr. Sears previously held the position of Vice President at Oklahoma Oil Company and was responsible for prospect identification and development. He is a member of the AAPG, AAPL, Dallas Geological Society and the Dallas Energy Finance Group.
He received both his MBA and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
Jeremy C. Jordan, President, Director
Mr. Jordan serves as IACX's President and is a member of the Board. He is responsible for project identification, evaluation and structuring, and performs all in-house financial functions for the Company. Jeremy joined Inter-American in 2003, where he focused on project generation and finance. He previously was a co-founder of Vox Partners, L.P., a boutique advisory firm tailored to early-stage companies seeking institutional equity financing. Prior to Vox, Mr. Jordan worked in the private placement group at Stonegate Securities, Inc., a Dallas-based investment banking firm specializing in the distribution of private placements of public equities.
Mr. Jordan received his BBA degree from Southern Methodist University (Dallas, Texas) with a concentration in finance.
Cody J. Compton, Vice President – Finance
Mr. Compton serves as IACX’s Vice President of Finance. He is responsible for all accounting and financial related matters, and is also responsible for other areas such as purchasing and procurement and human resource issues. Cody joined the IACX team in July 2007 where he has focused on the development and implementation of procedures and internal controls related to the Company’s financial reporting process. Prior to joining IACX, Cody worked in public accounting with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP where he worked on clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small, private entities. Mr. Compton is a CPA and is a member of the Texas Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
Cody received both his Master of Science – Finance and Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
J. Chris Jones, Director
Chris Jones is a Director of IACX Energy and a Managing Director of Haddington Ventures.
Prior to the formation of Haddington, Mr. Jones served as Tejas Power Corp’s (TPC) Vice President and Chief Financial Officer upon his joining in 1985, until his appointment as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1995. He also served as a Director of Market Hub Partners, L.P., TPC’s natural gas storage joint venture with Dayton Power & Light, New Jersey Resources, NIPSCO and Public Service Electric and Gas.
Prior to his association with TPC, Mr. Jones served as Secretary/Treasurer, and later Chief Financial Officer of The Fisk Group, Inc., a U.S. and international electrical contracting subsidiary of Amec p.l.c., a publicly traded U.K. company. He was employed with The Fisk Group from 1979 to 1985. Mr. Jones began his professional career with the auditing firm Price Waterhouse in Houston, Texas in 1977. He received his B.B.A. degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas in 1977.
Jim P. Wise, Director
Mr. Wise is a Director of IACX Energy and a Managing Director of Haddington Ventures. He has more than 40 years of operational and financial experience with both public and private companies.
Prior to his involvement with Haddington, Jim was founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Neostar Group, Inc., a private equity investment company. Before Neostar, he served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Vice Chairman of Integrated Electrical Services (NYSE: IES), which he co founded in 1997. Prior to IES, he served as Vice President of Finance and CFO of Sterling Chemicals. Mr. Wise spent ten years at Transco Energy Company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Jim has been involved with 4 successful IPOs and over 150 acquisitions.
In May of 2006, Jim was named to the Board of Rengents of the University of Houston by Texas Governor Rick Perry.
James K. Lam, Director
James Lam is a Director of IACX and a Vice President of Haddington Ventures, where he has been since 2001. During his time at Haddington, he has had an instrumental role in the acquisition of the Bobcat gas storage project in 2005, the Sale of Western Hub Properties in 2005, Sago Energy’s acquisition of the Jameson West Texas assets in 2003, the sale of Sago Energy in 2004, the acquisition of Gulf Coast LNG in 2004, and the resolution of the Nations Energy investment in 2004.
Prior to joining Haddington, Mr. Lam worked in investment banking in the natural gas research groups of Merrill Lynch and Jefferies & Co. He has a BBA in finance from the University of Houston.
