CO2 Sponge

IACX’s CO2 Sponge provides a clean, safe, and easily operated alternative to conventional amine treating, especially at lower volumes and pressures.  The processing medium for the CO2 Sponge consists of inert carbon pellets that physically (not chemically) draws the CO2 away from the hydrocarbons ("adsorption").  There is no corrosion, no VOC emissions, no mess, requires only limited oversight and has extremely high (97%) hydrocarbon recoveries.  Sponge units are equipped with programmable logic controllers that automatically adjusts the process to accomodate varying operating conditions.

While CO2 Sponge units are not for sale, IACX will work diligently with producers to arrange a compensation plan that will accommodate the desired need. Be it in the form of a lease, a percentage of proceeds or a joint-venture arrangement, an IACX transaction will embody a spirit of cooperation with producers. If the CO2 Sponge is not right for your application, we’ll point you in the right direction to one of our competitors.
